Tennessee fires football coach Derek Dooley (Yahoo! Sports)

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Tennessee Athletic Director Dave Hart has no doubt that Derek Dooley improved the Volunteers' football program after inheriting a tough situation three years ago.
