Arkansas State def. coordinator resigns (AP)

Arkansas State defensive coordinator Keith Patterson has resigned less than two months after being hired. Head coach Gus Malzahn announced the resignation in a news release Friday. Patterson had been hired as ASU defensive coordinator on Jan. 4 -- less than a month after Malzahn was hired as head coach.
